Arcana Society - Exploration Cadre
Remnants of a stone age civilization network were first recorded by a chance encounter. Explorers entered an unearthed stone building in Mastodon lands. Ancient stone technology activated and lit up like electric lights. They followed it through a tunnel to Sabre Tooth lands where an exact replica of the same building was present.
Mastodon and Sabretooth civilizations have long since been gone. They walked the earth some 10,000 years ago and their vanishing is still a mystery. At their peak, both civilizations were great empires. spanning across multiple modern day clock civilization lands. There are rumors of surviving Mastodons and Sabretooth Cats.

The Stone Web
The ancient stone age civilization which consisted of many groups of ancient folks. Mastodons, Mammoths, Sabretooths. Its advancements were built on a network that would allow city states to communicate with each other. prior to the network, communication was from travel exchanging by word of mouth and stone drawings.
It was a stagnate civilization with limited resources and technology advancements. They transition from primitive to advanced nation happened suddenly. It is believed to have started with the Mammoth peoples. Progress grew rapidly spreading to other city states
Communication came from petrified trees that spread out roots and branches like long stone cables. These trees spread out long distances underground and moderate distances above ground. How these trees grew so far and how they became petrified is still a subject of debate. They are perfect conduits for sending and receiving fragments of information. this is similar to the creation of arpanet on Earth.

ARPANET
ARPANET was the pioneering computer network that became the foundation of the modern Internet. It began in the late 1960s as a U.S. Defense Department project designed to link research computers and create a communication system that could survive disruptions, especially during the Cold War.
The key advancement was packet switching, which divides data into smaller segments that travel independently and are reassembled at their destinations. This made digital communication more resilient and efficient. In the 1970s, ARPANET expanded across universities and research institutions, leading to early e-mail, file transfers, and remote access.
By the early 1980s, the TCP/IP protocol was adopted, facilitating the interconnection of disparate networks and thereby effectively establishing the Internet. Although ARPANET was officially decommissioned in 1990, its foundational architecture and concepts continue to underpin the modern global network.
